HKS Oil Cooler Kit BRZ/86 2016+
Regular price $1,595.00 Save $-1,595.00An Oil Cooler Kit from HKS will help keep the temperature of your engine oil down even on powerful tuned cars being driven hard.
While your car does have a cooling system, this is designed for an engine with standard power output being driven on the road in a relatively calm fashion. As soon as you're taking a car on track, tuning an engine for big power, or driving especially hard, you can see engine oil temperatures start to creep up.
This is bad because above a certain temperature engine oil starts to break down.
A HKS Oil-Cooler adds an external radiator through which the oil passes and is cooled much more effectively than by the stock system.
The kits come with a thermostat. Just as you don't want oil to be too hot, it also needs to reach a certain temperature to protect the engine properly. Adding a thermostat to the system stops the oil from being circulated through the cooler until it's reached the proper temperature ensuring the engine is protected when cold as well as hot. This is perfect for road usage where an engine can take quite some time to reach temperature.
Kits labelled as "Sandwich Plate" use a sandwich plate type connector.
Kits labelled as "Oil Filter Relocation" relocate the oil filter away from the standard location for clearance reasons.
Many of the kits are supplied with an air guide intended to channel air onto the cooler, even at angles off-centre (important for drivers collecting flies on their side windows). This will be indicated in the item subtitle.

HKS Oil Cooler Kit BRZ/86 NA Kit

- From engine bench tests and experience from D1 racing it is found that the oil pressure of the FA20 engine is extremely high compared to the conventional mass-produced engines. (Max oil pressure: over 12kgf/cm²) New single tube fitting withstanding the high oil pressure was newly designed and included in the kit.
- Including the pre-assembled hose, bracket, and air guide and locating the core in front of the radiator enable an easy installation. Also, there is no major modification required to the chassis.
- Special spacer and center bolts were designed exclusively for this kit to install the oil cooler attachment without modification.
- The thin 15-layer core improves the cooling performance and makes installation easier.
- This kit is applicable only to the NA engine.

IAG Performance Competition Series Oil Pan and Baffle WRX/STI/Forester/Liberty (EJ20/EJ25)

About Competition Series EJ Oil Pan
The cast aluminum oil pan was designed with fitment for a larger variety of popular headers in mind, while still increasing oil capacity up to 30% over OEM.
The design incorporates cooling fins to aid in dissipating heat from the oil as air passes over them. The included oil drain plug is integrated into the lower cooling fins at the absolute bottom of the pan to make sure all the waste oil is removed during maintenance changes. The oil drain plug uses an OEM style crush washer. The oil pan is also threaded with a 1/8th inch NPT port to accept many popular oil temperature sensors. A 1/8th inch NPT plug is also included in the event that the sensor port is not used.
The upper flange mounting surface is CNC machined for better hardware fitment. The flange features a sealing O-ring for easier installation and removal. The pan is designed to use the included OEM style Viton dipstick o-rings with a unique chamfer to aid in the installation of the dipstick.
About Competition Series Oil Baffle
The IAG Competition Series Oil Baffle is designed to limit potential blow-by and prevent oil starvation in your Subaru’s WRX / STI EJ engine during high rpm and high g-force driving. The Competition Series Baffle should be used in vehicles that will see track time, however, it is acceptable to run this baffle on the street as well. The Comp Series baffle is configured with Viton one-way flapper valves which hold oil in the area closest to the pickup. Combining the baffle with the louvers in our optional windage tray, oil is prevented from reentering the upper crankcase area and is directed down into the oil pan to ensure plentiful supply to the oil pickup. IAG’s integrated oil baffle is designed to work with the IAG V2 oil pickup as well as other popular oil pickups.
This pan is compatible with the PN# IAG-ENG-2087 Oil Control Baffle and Windage Tray, or our new PN# IAG-ENG-2210 Windage Tray.
The pan is designed to work with the IAG, Killer B and OEM 2.5L oil pickup.

Killer B Motorsport Baffle Plate

• Closed rear section to prevent oil from sloshing into the crank under hard acceleration and aggressive shifts.
• Block contoured profile to minimize oil returning from the heads interfering with the crank.

So what’s all this mean? It means more power due to the reduction in oil interfering with the rotation of the crank and allowing it to spin more freely. Unless it’s in the bearings, anytime oil comes in contact with the cranks or connecting rods it robs power. Reduction of oil splashing and beating off crank & connection rods will also lower oil temperatures.

Regular price $234.95 Save $-234.95The OEM pickup screen is crimped in a retainer and that assembly is spot welded into the pickup ‘can’. There are a couple of flaws with this process. One is that the screen is creased where the retaining ring is crimped over it. The other is the spot weld process embrittles the screen. We pushed on the screen of new OEM pickups, and several popped wire strands, without a lot of effort.
Being known for making the best Subaru Performance Oiling Products money can buy, addressing this was right up our alley. Of course, our own spin of improvements, besides the obvious had to be made to assure set it and forget reliability that comes with our products. A means for improving performance was taken advantage of during the design process as well.
The obvious big change is the tube has no bend. No bend means no restriction, and even better coming from the OEM tube because it uses a more restrictive pinch bend. The ID of the tube has been increased, and so has the thickness. The angle of the tube points it directly at the inlet into the block. Like our EJ engine Ultimate Oil Pickup this one too uses a screen to match the OEM spec opening size of the mesh. Although, we use a higher strength screen material. The screen area has been increased over 31% which reduces the restriction and stress on the screen. Our screen is lightly pressed and welded into place assuring the wire does not gets stresses or heat damages. TIG welding throughout assures proper weld penetration and quality. The material is 4130 Alloy Steel to further provide an increase in strength over the brazed stamped steel OEM version. The units have been pressure tested to 150psi over the face of the screen without issue.
